CEO

Erbi Blanco-True established True Consulting Group in 2016 to assist her banking colleagues in the areas of CRA compliance, community development, corporate social responsibility, non-profit outreach and philanthropy. Prior to this, Ms. Blanco-True served as Senior Vice President, Director of CRA & Community Development at Great Florida Bank for over seven years. In her position she served as CRA Officer and managed the bank’s community outreach programs including lending, investments and services related to affordable housing, neighborhood revitalization and community development. During her tenure, Great Florida Bank was well known as a leader in community development and corporate social responsibility.

Prior to joining Great Florida Bank, Erbi served as Market President of Neighborhood Lending Partners (“NLP”), a multi-bank lending consortium providing financing for affordable housing projects. In her capacity, she was responsible for raising capital and increasing the loan pool through member banks, as well as originating commercial real estate loans meeting CRA requirements. Her expertise included financing affordable housing developments using Low Income Housing Tax credits as well as other local, state and federal forms of subsidy.

Prior to NLP, she was the Senior Relationship Manager for the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta covering the state of Florida. In her capacity, Erbi managed the accounts of over 250 banks in the state of Florida and provided support in the areas of asset liability management, FHLB advances, loan funding strategies and community development services.

Erbi’s career includes over 30 years of management experience in banking, including the areas of CRA compliance, investments, commercial real estate lending, community relations and retail banking. She has been very involved in the community through several non-profit organizations including the Executive Committee of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce; Executive Committee and Women’s Leadership Council Chair for Switchboard of Miami; President’s Council for Florida International University; Board Member of the South Florida Community Development Coalition; Campaign Cabinet for United Way of Miami-Dade and Chair of Miami-Dade County’s Affordable Housing Advisory Board from 2008 to 2014, amongst others. She currently serves as a CRA Advisor for AAA Scholarship Foundation.

Erbi has won many awards for her community outreach efforts, including the 2013 Barry University Distinguished Alumni Award, 2012 Coral Gables Chamber Businesswoman of the Year Award, 2012 SFCDC Excellence in Community Development Award, 2011 Hispanic Philanthropist Award, the 2011 Greater Miami Chamber Salute to Miami’s Leaders Award and the South Florida Hispanic Chamber Women of Leadership Award. She has served as an expert speaker at numerous local and national events and has been featured in several publications including Brickell Magazine, The Miami Herald, the Daily Business Review, the Miami Today, the FIU BizNews and the South Florida Business Journal.

Erbi obtained her Master of Business Administration degree from Florida International University and her Bachelor of Professional Studies degree from Barry University.

Community

Erbi Blanco-True serves as a volunteer CRA Adviser for AAA Scholarship Foundation, a non-profit organization which provides K-12 scholarships to low-income children. The program is funded through a redirection of corporate income taxes, allowing corporations to partner with a non-profit to enhance educational opportunities for low-income families.
